Rarely does it happen that a brand new product, not even out for deliveries to the customers, heads out to the service station for some serious damage. This rare incident happened with the all new Hyundai Creta SUV.
It was only this week when Hyundai introduced its latest offering to the Indian market, the Creta SUV, and one of the vehicles is already heading towards the service centre after sustaining severe damage post an unfortunate accident. The deliveries for this latest SUV have still not commenced and we believe the concerned unit in the images is likely to be a demo car or one of the media vehicles out on testing.
As seen in the images, the SUV has suffered a frontal impact which has damaged the vehicle’s driver side headlight, front grille, front bumper, wheel arches, fender and bonnet remarkably. The force of the impact also damaged the windshield. It seems like the ill-fated Creta rear ended a high vehicle, in all possibility a truck.
Judging by the extent of the damage, one can safely assume it to be a high speed crash, and the Creta has borne it well. The Creta’s ‘Hive’ body structure seems to have done its job, with no visible damage creeping into the passenger cabin. There are no further details about the whereabouts or the cause of the accident, though to see a brand new model in such a mutilated state does require a mention.

If this was a media car, I’d say it ain’t the 1st time this has happened. Similar pics of the banged up media car were floating around on social media even when the EcoSport was to be launched.
If it’s true, the media guys need to learn to drive, nothing’s wrong with the vehicle.
The 2nd one. 1st one was last night, posted with a banged back. Cheers.
