Honda CBR250RR clocks a top speed of 179 kph (speedo indicated)

While we may never get a chance to take the Honda CBR250RR out for a spin in India, the folks at Otomotifnet managed to extract the straight line performance of the new, twin-cylinder quarter-litre from the Japanese manufacturer. The guys managed to clock a top speed of 179 kph (speedometer indicated). The satellite-based calculations indicated a top speed of 167.4 kph.

According to the website the CBR250RR clocks:

  • First Gear : 66 kph
  • Second gear : 101 kph
  • Third Gear : 123 kph
  • Fourth Gear : 150 kph
  • Fifth Gear : 171 kph
  • Sixth Gear : 179 kph

To reach that top speed, the CBR250RR draws power from a 249.7cc twin cylinder liquid cooled engine that delivers 28.5 kW or 38.7 PS of maximum power at 12,500 rpm and 23.3 Nm of peak torque at 11,000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a six speed transmission. The motorcycle features ride by wire technology along with three selectable modes – Comfort, Sport and Sport+.
