We reported in detail when Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India unveiled the highly anticipated Honda Activa 125 at the Auto Expo 2014, held earlier this year in New Delhi. Honda Two-Wheeler’s dealers have now launched the new scooter and the Honda Activa 125 price starts @ INR 56,607. The deluxe variant has been priced @ INR 62,588. (All prices are ex-Mumbai). The on-road prices for the std and DLX variants are INR 62,276 and INR 69,500 respectively. This means that the new Honda Activa 125 price for standard variant are approximately INR 7000 higher than that of the Activa 110 DLX.

While the DLX variant gets a Front Disc brake, the std. model gets a Front Drum brake setup. The new Honda Activa 125 is powered by a single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled, 124.9 cc engine that has a max power of 8.6 bhp at 6,500 rpm and a peak torque of 10.12 Nm at 5,500 rpm. Akin to the 110cc model, the engine of the Activa 125 comes mated a V-Matic (CVT) transmission.
The new Honda Activa 125 is on sale in four body colors: White, Black, Blue and Silver.
The new Honda Activa 125 is pitted against the fairly successful Suzuki Access 125 and the new model should appeal to those prospective scooter buyers who need a powerful family scooter for commuting and other daily chores.
