Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI), the Indian subsidiary of Japanese auti giant Honda recently published its sales report for the month of May 2013.
Overall, the bike maker sold 488,566 two wheelers and registered a 16% overall growth (YTD). Out of this, motorcycle sales stood at 214,523 units , YTD growth 21% and scooters sales stood at 274,043 units, YTD growth 13%.
HMSI Dom+Exp market share stood at 17%. HMSI also inaugurated its 3rd plant in India in Narsapura, Karnataka. With thi, HMSI’s 2Wheeler production capacity in India is set to increase 64% to 46 lac units by FY’14 end.
