The SimplEcity in another link in the long chain of modern, tech laden vehicles like the RNT and Leap which Hero Motocorp has spun out recently. Diminutive in size and meant for small distance, low-speed application, the Hero SimplEcity is a lightweight personal mobility solution for urban use. The SimplECity concept also underlines Hero Motocorp’s focus on next generation electric and hybrid powetrains which would be important for sustainable mobility.
The SimplEcity offers an efficient and reliable intra-city travel experience to the urban commuters. The lightweight electric motorcycle weighs only 35 kg and is extremely easy to use. Every system of the new bike has been optimized for top performance in city conditions.
The SimplEcity comes with a removable battery pack for the convenience of recharging. Another innovation is the dashboard that is delivered through the rider’s smart phone through the free SimplEcity application. This can be achieved by conveniently mounting the phone on the handlebars. The ‘walk’ mode lets rider roll it effortlessly when you walk or gives it a push if taken upstairs.
The SimplEcity features a twin telescopic front suspension and a monoshock set-up at the rear. Front wheels have disc brakes mounted, while the rear wheels have motors in the hub.
