GM’s Auto Expo plans

One of world’s leading car makers, American giant General Motors (GM) recently revealed its Auto Expo plans. The manufacturer will have 6 cars on display at the upcoming Expo. The show stopper at GM’s stall will be the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) Chevrolet Cruze. The competition car is powered by a 2 litre 4 cylinder engine, complete with a 64 mm throttle body plenum with internal trumpets, and the powerplant produces 285 BHP of power.  In true competition car fashion, the car wears racing slicks from Yokohama.

Another exciting product on display will be the Chevrolet Sail compact hatchback. The Sail will probably share the engine with the Chevrolet Beat whose gasoline engine  produces 79 BHP of power.Another option might be a 1.3-liter Fiat Multijet diesel engine. It is expected that the car will hit our streets in coming April.

Also, recently we hat talked about a MPV from GM that is slated to be launched in the Indian market and the rebadged Wulling-SIAC CN-100 will be on display at the expo. We will also have a revamped version of Captiva with a larger 2.2-liter heart diesel engine that develops 184 BHP of power. The revised styling will see hints of the new design language of GM that we first saw on the Cruze. Popular people mover, The Tavera MUV  will also be seen with a facelift and an updated BSIV compliant diesel motor. The new engine is to be supplied by ICML (Sonalika), the makers of Rhino. This engine churns out an output of 100 BHP and will replace the 80 BHP engine currently on duty in the Tavera.
