Ford has kicked off the Discover Smart drive to celebrate the success of the Figo in most award events, including being the Indian Car of the Year 2011. The Celebrations started with the first regional Discover Smart Drive being flagged off across the state of Kerala. The 600 km journey will see the lucky customer couple, Krishna Prasad & Rajashree Raghavendra from Bangalore drive the scenic locales of Kerala.
The regional Discover Smart Drive will connect consumers around Ford dealership(s) in Trissur, Kochi, and Kottayam before culminating in Trivandrum. The couple will drive a thematically designed Figo. The celebratory Figo will also have a companion – the thematic 50,000th Figo – designed by popular television host Harun Robert (better known as Rob) – accompanying it through Kerala. Both these celebratory Figos have been brought to the state especially to make the drive even more special for the couple and consumers. The drive will pass through Calicut, Thrissur, Kochi, Kottayam and Trivandrum.
The young couple has been selected from an online contest inviting young couples willing to participate in such cross country drive(s) on www.drivingford.in. To qualify, couples had to send in their nominations by sharing the most memorable activity that they have done on a vacation and unique destinations they have visited.
