Force One EX and SX India Launch: Live coverage, price, features and specs

Force One EX India

Force India is launching the SX and EX variants of their One SUV today in Pune. As always, we are reporting live from the event. The headline news about the event is the introduction of a new base EX variant. The Force One variant that has been on sale so far will now be sold as Force One SX.

The new entry level EX variant, powered by a 2.6 litre BS3 diesel engine has a (much) reduced max power of 82PS and a peak torque of 230Nm. The price of the Force One Ex variant is Rs 8.99 lakh ex-showroom Pune. The new base variant is primarily targeted at tier 2 and tier 3 towns, where the One has got a good response from car buyer.

The SX variant will continue to be powered by a 2.2 litre FMTECH diesel engine. This motor is based on a Mercedes unit and has a max power of 141PS and peak torque of 321Nm. The 4×4 LX variant of the Force One SUV will be launched later this year.

The new EX variant of the force one SUV is not BS4 compliant like its more powerful sibling. It is BS3 compliant.

The entry level EX variant is deprived of several features such as LED DRLs, alloy wheels, roof rails, rear wash/wipe, defogger, audio system, driver’s seat height adjustment, remote central locking, reverse parking sensors, ABS and cruise control.

The new EX as well as SX variants of the One SUV is now available with a new Moondust Silver exterior paint-shade option.

  1. This is rubbish. It's not even BS4 compliant. So where are we going towards. Back to tractors, I guess. I mean stripping the car of its features is acceptable but stripping it from BS4 to BS3 is simply going back in time. The SUV is cool so why not the emission part.
