Fiat Chrysler Automobiles India has launched the Punto Sportivo as a limited edition version of the Punto Evo. The special edition Punto is priced at Rs 7.1 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. The Sportivo variant will be available only with the 1.3 litre Multijet diesel engine with 75 bhp of power. Petrol powered variants are not being offered with new, racier looking package.
The special edition Punto Sportivo comes with a bunch of visual enhancement and new features. On the outside, the Punto Sportivo gets a new two-tone paint scheme. The car receives a white chequered flag graphic running longitudinally through the centre of its bonnet, along with new decals on the sides and Sportivo badging.
The ORVMs on the special edition get a chrome garnish, and one can also see reverse parking sensors on the rear bumpers. The alloys have been given their due as well, and are now 6×2 spoke 15 inch units. To garnish the package with a bit more sportiness, FIAT has thrown in a spoiler at the rear.
On the inside, the Sportivo variant gets sporty new dull white seat covers with contrasting, racy, red highlights. The carpet mats are new as well, and feature FIAT branding. An interesting new feature is the 6.5” multifunction screen on the centre console for infotainment controls. We really think Fiat would do well introducing that piece of kit across the higher-end variants of the Punto / Avventura. To round things up, the Sportivo also features special FIAT branded door sills.
