As we’ve been saying, the the Fiat Punto facelift launch in India will happen later this year and the upcoming model has been spotted again. The latest Fiat Punto Facelift images have been sent to us by our friend Omkar Kulkarni, who spotted these Punto facelift images in Pune. The Fiat Punto facelift that is headed our way will sport some cosmetic updates, with the car remaining mechanically unchanged.
The Fiat Punto facelift will come with a revised front fascia, which would comprise of new headlamps, a redesigned front bumper, new front grille and fog lamps. At the rear, the car will get a new set of tail lamps and a redesigned rear bumper. On the inside, the Punto facelift will come with a new dashboard that would boast of a center console and a refreshed instrument cluster.
The engine options for the Punto facelift will be carried over from the current model, which means the car gets a 1.3 liter Multijet diesel engine, that would be available in two states of tune- 75 bhp-197 Nm and 90 bhp-209 Nm. The petrol engine on offer will be the 1.2 and 1.4 liter motors that have a max power of 68 bhp-96 Nm and 90 bhp-115 Nm respectively.
The Fiat Punto facelift has good chance of re-vitalizing the sales of the Italian supermini. It may be noted that the Punto sales in India have suffered mainly due to poor after-sales.. However, ever since Fiat decided to move out of Tata showrooms, it has been taking steps to improve the after-sales we believe that the upcoming facelift, along with the improved dealer network, could very well help Fiat India to have a better showing on the sales charts.
