Tata Communications unveils the F1 Connectivity Innovation Prize – a global platform that will engage international brainpower against the demanding backdrop of Formula 1 racing. As an official Connectivity Provider to Formula 1, Tata Communications brings innovation, creativity and smart use of technology to the sport, where every tenth of a second defines the difference between winning and losing, making superior connectivity and content delivery networks extremely critical components.

Lewis Hamilton a member of the jury said, “Technology is absolutely key to success in Formula 1 racing and we are lucky to attract some of the best engineers and technical brains to work in our sport. The challenges that have been set for the F1 Connectivity Innovation Prize look fascinating and I hope, will attract a huge response. To participate in this event you will need a lot of spark in your brain that lights up your creativity and problem solving skills, which can then be applied to atleast one of three challenges. A distinguished panel of judges which includes Lewis Hamilton, Paddy Lowe, John Morrison and Martin Brundle will decide to reward the most innovative and creative thinking in connectivity with a $50,000 bounty. You may enter the contest as an individual or as a team.

The F1 connectivity prize intends to provide a platform to inspire inventive and creative thinking, that helps catalyse next-gen technologies. The first challenge will be announced in the run-up to the 2014 FORMULA 1 SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX.
