The new Yamaha YZF-R25/YZF-R3 have been a hot topic of discussion and there have been several speculations about the arrival of these products to the Indian shores. Latest reports from our sources reveal that Yamaha will bring in the YZF-R3 for the Indian market in September 2015. There were no updates about the YZF-R25 which makes us believe that Yamaha is in no mood to stay behind its competitors and plans to lock horns with the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the upcoming Honda CBR300R. Sources also indicate that Yamaha will price the YZF-R3 at approximately Rs 2.95 lakh (ex-showroom) which is well below Kawasaki Ninja 300’s ex-showroom tag of Rs 3.50 lakh.
The new Yamaha YZF-R3 is powered by a newly developed engine and receives a lightweight chassis. A 321cc inline two-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor on the YZF-R3 is capable of delivering 42PS of power and 29.6Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a constant mesh, 6-speed transmission. The R3 uses R-series technology which includes a direct-drive camshaft, forged pistons, carburized con rods, low-friction cylinders and much more. Safety net is provided by ABS that comes standard on the Yamaha YZF-R3. The motorcycle will be available in two colour shades – Race Blue and Midnight Black.

Ideally, it should have been launched by now. Even we are awaiting the motorcycle to reach India. We hope Honda brings in the CBR300R in this financial year, if not in this calender year.
Gonna grab the KTM RC390. Its way better than this piece oj junk from yamaha.
Suvil, well, when do you think CBR300R will be launched?
