EEPC India awards Hyundai with the ‘Top Exporter of the year’ Award for 2012-13

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), India’s largest auto exporter and the second largest passenger car manufacturer, has been awarded with the Gold Trophy at the 45th EEPC INDIA National Awards for Export Excellence. The Gold Trophy has been awarded to Hyundai India for being the Top Exporter in the year 2012-13 in the Large enterprise category. Dr. James S. Mutende, Minister of State for Industry and Technology, Uganda presented the award to senior HMIL officials in an award ceremony held in Mumbai.

Hyundai India has retained its position of being the largest passenger car exporter since 2004, with a market leadership of 45%. During the year 2012-13, Hyundai exported 259,811 cars to diverse markets with a growth of 9.4% in the year.

On receiving the award, Mr B S Seo, MD & CEO HMIL expressed, “We are delighted and honored to receive this prestigious award from EEPC India for the year 2012-13. The award signifies the success of Hyundai brand showcasing our commitment to provide modern premium cars with world-class technology. I take this opportunity to thank all our customers and stakeholders for their trust and support in achieving this milestone.

 HMIL currently exports 40% of its total production to countries across EU, Africa, Middle East, Latin America, Australia and the Asia Pacific.
