Post it’s unveiling two months ago in November 2013, the new Ducati Monster 1200 finally began production at Ducati’s Borga Panigale Plant in Bologna, Italy. President of Ducati Motor Holding Claudio Domenicali present at the event treated the first production unit of the Ducati Monster 1200 with a bubbly bath of sparkling wine.
Slated to hit European dealerships in March 2014, the 2014 Ducati Monster 1200 would be available in standard 135 bhp and a more powerful 1200S variant cranking a higher 145 bhp from its 1198cc 11-degree Testastretta dual spark engine.
Other list of features on the 2014 Ducati Monsters include ride by wire throttle, an oil-bath slipper clutch, three ride modes with eight level traction control and switchable three level 9MP ABS by Bosch provided as a standard feature on both models. (Read the complete set of details here).
The Ducati Monster 1200 is priced at US$ 13,495 while the more powerful Ducati Monster 1200S is priced US$ 15,995, though no prices for the European markets have been revealed yet.
