Ducati India slashes the price of Monster 795 to Rs 5.99 lakh!

Days after launching its price warrior, the 795 Monster for the Indian market at the Auto Expo, Ducati India have slashed the price of the model to Rs 5.99 lakh. This should comes a great news to the skeptics who were criticizing the Italian bike maker for keeping the price of the bike (at 6.99 lakh) substantially higher than the Rs 5 lakh (or thereabouts) target.

The Moster 795 is the first mass market Ducati. The bike has been developed keeping costs in check, but without compromising with the alluring design ethos of the Italian company. Developed specifically for the Asian market, the new 795 is expected to spin some volumes for Ducati in India, a market which is expected to swell in the coming years, as regards sales of premium motorcycles. With the new pricing, the 795 isn’t too far away from the price of the Kawasaki Ninja 650R and the Hyosung GT650R / N twins. It presents itself as an option, and many would not mind shelling out a little more than a lakh of ruppess extra to buy a Ducati than going for a Hyosung.

Announcing the revision, Ashish Chordia, CEO, Ducati India said “It was always our endeavor to price this model attractively and we have succeeded in passing on the full benefits of the Thailand FTA to our customers. The response to the Monster 795 in just two days since its launch has been overwhelming and with the special price we expect the demand to grow exponentially.”

  1. Hi,

Yeah,I have gone for a test drive locally in hyundai verna, overall it is a very very good package in terms of value, looks and economy. However,I have observed the following:

    1) Visibility of road is not clear as in old verna from driving position.

2)back seats are not comfortable for 3(especially middle seat is bulging, where i didn`t find it balanced sitting there.

How about the driving in speeds excess 140,does the body scroll just like in old verna?
