Datsun India introduced its third offering in the country with the unveiling of the Redi-Go earlier last month on April 14th. The concept, on which it is based on, was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo. Even as the launch of the hatchback is yet to take place, we get you more details on this upcoming model from the house of Datsun.
Earlier teaser images as well as the official unveiling of the hatch revealed a few things about this upcoming model. Now the official website of the company divulges a few features of the upcoming redi-Go. Dimension wise, the hatch will measure 3429 mm in length, 1560 mm in width, 1541 mm in height while the ground clearance stands at 185 mm.
Powering the redi-Go will be 0.8 litre petrol engine with the same state of tune as seen on its sibling, the Renault Kwid, which produces a power output of 54 PS at 5678 rpm while the peak torque of 72 Nm comes up at 4388 rpm. This engine sends power to the wheels with the help of a 5 speed manual transmission.

Colour option on the Hatchback will include ruby red, white, silver, lime green and gray. Some other features that the redi-Go will come equipped with include Projector headlamps, LED DRLs, 13 inch wheels, driver airbag, power steering, power windows and an audio system that supports CD, USB, MP3 and Aux-in. The company also claims a fuel efficiency of 25.17 kmpl.
Bookings for the redi-Go have already begun on May 1st for a minimum amount of Rs. 5000 while deliveries are said to begin in the first week of June. Once launched, the hatchback will take on the Maruti Suzuki Alto and the Hyundai Eon.
