Dacia Duster LPG Variants Launched in Europe

Renault-Duster-India-review-147

The Dacia Duster, which is sold as the Renault Duster in certain markets, has done a world of good to the European car maker and has been registering class leading sales in most of the car markets it is sold in.

The Dacia Duster has now received a LPG variant for the European market. The LPG kit is available with the petrol engine variant that sports the 1.6-liter, 16v petrol, K4M engine with 104bhp of max power output. The LPG tank has a capacity of 32-liters and is housed in the place which is otherwise reserved for the spare wheel.

The Dacia Duster LPG will be sold in 4×2 guise only and will be offered in two trim levels- Ambiance and Laureate. The Duster LPG Prices begin at EUR 13,350 go up to EUR 14,350 (inclusive of the local taxes).

Dacia is claiming a fuel economy of 10.86kmpl in LPG mode. The petrol variant has a claimed fuel economy of 13.88kmpl but LPG is cheaper and friendlier to the environment.

Compared to 167gm/km CO2 emissions of the petrol, the LPG variant has a lower CO2 emission of 146g/km and will get tax exemptions in France.

There is a good probability that Renault India might launch the Renault Duster LPG variants in our rapidly growing car market.
