Chevrolet has launched the updated Enjoy MPV in India at Rs. 6.24 lakh

Chevrolet has launched a refreshed and reworked Enjoy MPV with some updates for 2015. The old model didn’t see the American carmaker making a huge dent in the bustling MPV market in India, which they hope to change with this new model.

Spotting the differences on the exterior of the updated Chevrolet Enjoy is a bit of a “Blink and you will miss it” kind of an affair. This is because the exterior styling largely remains unaltered and you will have to look closer to spot the new B-pillar strips which are now finished in black, and chrome treatment right above the number plate. The latter is now standard across the entire model range.

Chevrolet has focussed more on the interior of the Enjoy and that’s where most of the updates are to be found. The first thing to grab your attention is the all-new 3-spoke steering wheel which now gets the company’s familiar golden bowtie emblem, along with subtle silver accents. The wheel also holds the controls for the audio system. The new model also benefits from new leatherette-fabric upholstery, glossy black finish on the door armrests, chrome detailing on the parking brake lever, gear knob, aircon vents and door handles. Safety features on this updated Chevrolet MPV now include dual-front airbags and ABS with EBD. Of course, most of these features are to be expected only on the top-end LTZ trim of the updated Enjoy.

Chevrolet has left the mechanical bits of the Enjoy MPV untouched and the car continues with the same 1.3-litre diesel and 1.4-litre petrol engines. While the diesel mill makes 74bhp of power and 172.5 Nm of torque, the petrol unit develops 99bhp of power and 131 Nm of twist. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission, just like before. The updated Chevrolet Enjoy is available in six colours; Velvet Red, Switchblade Silver, Summit White, Caviar Black, Linen Beige and Sandrift Grey. The MPV is offered in three trim levels – the LS, LT and the top-end LTZ variant. As earlier, the people-carrier can still be had in 7 or 8-seat configurations and GM India has priced the updated Chevrolet Enjoy between Rs. 6.24 lakh – Rs. 8.79 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
