We reported in detail when it emerged that the Chevrolet Enjoy would be launched in India on May 9. The car has been spotted testing on numerous occasions and it has now emerged that the demo vehicles have already started reaching Chevrolet India dealerships. Seen here in the lead image is a pic of Chevrolet Enjoy demo vehicle that belongs to the car maker’s Lucknow dealerships.
The Enjoy will be launched in India with both petrol and diesel engine options. The diesel engine variant, which is sure to be the more popular of the two variants, will be powered by the 1.3 Multijet engine that powers many cars in Indian car market. The tried and tested diesel engine develops a maximum power of 77.5 PS and a peak torque rating of 188 Nm for the Enjoy.
The petrol variant of the Enjoy will be powered by a 1.4 Litre four cylinder normally aspirated gasoline engine that has been derived from that of the Aveo’s petrol engine. The engine has a max power output of 103 Bhp and a peak torque figure of 131 Nm. The engine is mated to a five speed manual transmission.
The Enjoy is a really spacious and well sorted out vehicle that might do pretty well in the taxi markets.
There are good chances that the Enjoy would give the Ertiga and the Xylo a tough time in the commercial vehicle market.
As we said earlier, we have driven both the variants of the car and click here for the full review of the upcoming MPV.
