Check out the new 2014 Honda City TVC

We reported in detail when the new 2014 Honda City was launched in India some days back. Such has been the response to the new City that the car bagged more than 9,000 bookings even before the car’s launch. By January 9th, the new City had nearly 10,000 orders. As told by Honda Car India’s Senior Vice-President & Director of Sales & Marketing, Mr. Shigeru Yamazaki, up to 70 percent of these bookings have been registered for the new City diesel variant.

Honda Cars India recently came up with the first ever TVC for the new 2014 Honda City. The new TVC promotes the new car as “the Greater Drive” and shows some of the high-end features of the new City.

 

Powering the new Honda City Diesel is the same 1.5 litre iDTEC four pot oil burner that powers the Amaze D. This motor comes mated to a six speed manual transmission for the City and bestows the new car with the title of being India’s most fuel efficient car. The new Honda City diesel has an ARAI claimed fuel efficiency of 26 kmpl. This engine has  max power of 100PS and peak torque of 200Nm. Powering the new Honda City Petrol is the same 1.5 litre iVTEC four pot petrol engine that powered the earlier gen model. For the fourth gen City, this engine has a higher max power of 119PS and higher torque of 145Nm. The petrol engine cane be ordered with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic transmission.

New Honda City price in India start at INR 7.42 lakhs (for the base petrol model) and goes all the way to INR 11.1 lakhs for the tip end diesel variant. (All prices are ex-Showroom, New Delhi)
