Nissan Motor India reported domestic sales of 4,948 vehicles in September 2016 versus 2,616 units in the corresponding period last year. The Japanese carmaker reported 89 percent year-on-year growth in sales for September 2016.
The car maker also closed the first half of this financial year on a high note. Nissan reported a robust 48 percent growth, with 29,029 units sold in the period between April and September this year against 19,563 units in the corresponding period last year.
Commenting on the sales results, Arun Malhotra, managing director, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd., said, that fiscal 2016 has been encouraging for the Company, especially the last quarter. Nissan has delivered solid results and the car maker will begin the next quarter and festive season on a good note. Datsun redi-GO sales continue to be strong and the manufacturer is delighted by its acceptance with consumers in India.
