With new models lined up, outgoing car variants offered at huge discounts

With new models and updated variants lined up for launch, car makers are clearing off their current inventory by offering huge discounts on their outgoing models. Now, if you are planning to buy a new car but are running low on budget, then this might just prove to be a perfect time for you. Volkswagen is offering as much as Rs 1.2 lakh worth of discount on its mid-size sedan, Vento while Indian car maker Maruti Suzuki is offering its outgoing SX4 with a discount of Rs 90,000.

Volkswagen Vento

German car maker Volkswagen is all set to introduce the new version of its mid-size sedan, the Vento. However, the current model did not find many buyers and dealers are stuck with the inventory. Hence, dealers are offering the base diesel variant of the Vento at a discount of Rs 1.2 lakh which includes Rs 90,000 cash discount and Rs 30,000 exchange bonus.

Maruti SX4

Showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo, the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is all set to enter the Indian car market. The company will be replacing the current SX4 sedan with the new Ciaz. Maruti has already stopped the production of the SX4. To clear the remaining stock, the SX4 is being offered at a discount of Rs 90,000 across all variants.

Fiat Grande Punto

The new 2014 Fiat Grande Punto has already reached dealer stockyards. However, the outgoing variants are also lying in stock and dealers are offering a discount of up to Rs 70,000 on this hatchback from fiat. The offer includes a cash discount of Rs 50,000 and other benefits like free insurance and corporate discount.

Indica Vista

Tata Motors officially unveiled its new compact sedan this week and is planning to introduce its hatchback, the Bolt soon. With these two new models, the existing Tata Indica Vista and Manza are likely to see drop in demand. Although the company is not planning to stop the production, these old models from Tata may see cut in production. You can grab an Indica Vista at a discount of Rs 63,500 which includes free first year’s insurance along with Rs 30,000 cash discount, exchange bonus and a corporate discount.
