Cadillac has grown increasingly desperate to show to the globe what they can really do. The carmaker wants to make its mark felt on the luxury car market, with its upcoming flagship – the CT6. This car will be revealed to the world at the 2015 New York Auto Show, coming next week. The CT6 is to be powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 engine and will be mostly made out of aluminium (aluminum in Americano) to keep it light. Couple these two factors, this Caddy might prove to be quite brisk. According to Cadillac, the CT6 will also feature a rear-view mirror that houses a TFT display. This display will… display, a high-definition view of the rear of the vehicle and will supposedly improve aft visibility by a credible 300%. Anyway, the most talked about feature of the Cadillac CT6 is its Bose brand-new music system and its insane number of speakers.

Cadillac CT6 Bose system

It’s called the Bose Panaray sound system. But, the speakers in the headrests look creepy.

The Cadillac CT6 will have more speakers than it will have buttons. Bose has managed to pack in a total of 34 speakers inside the CT6. The above image will give you an idea of how Bose managed this feat of numbers. What it won’t tell you, however, is the output of this sound system. Not only was this system purpose-built for this car, it also encapsulates the high fidelity tech from Bose’s premium home theatre systems, which are something to die for. Bose and Cadillac promise this system will deliver some astonishing quality of sound, at least for an in-car sound system. And with 34 speakers dotted throughout this cabin, we are expecting something out of this world, in the car world. The only number we know of this sound system, is the size of its drivers. Most of the 34 speakers measure less than 4-inches (10 cm) in diameter. That explains, at least partly, how Bose managed to squeeze them into the tightest of spaces. Of course, the CT6 is to become the flagship car for Cadillac, so this sound system has to deliver.
