Ford India will commence bookings for the new Figo Aspire compact saloon, come July 27, 2015. Those interested can book the car at any Ford dealership by paying an amount of Rs. 30,000. The Ford Figo Aspire will be available in four trim levels – Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and the top-spec Titanium+.
The Ford Figo Aspire will be offered with an 88 PS 1.2-litre Ti-VCT petrol, a 112 PS 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol, and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine that makes 100 PS of power. The 88 PS engine will be paired to a 5-speed manual transmission, while the 112 PS variant gets the American carmaker’s dual-clutch 6-speed ‘PowerShift’ transmission. ARAI has rated the three engines at 18.16, 17 and 25.83 km/l in terms of fuel efficiency, respectively.
The new Ford compact saloon will be available in 7 colour choices – Ruby Red, Sparkling Gold, Oxford White, Tuxedo Black, Deep Impact Blue, Ingot Silver and Smoke Grey. Features on the new Ford Figo Aspire include the MyFord Dock (found on lower variants), voice-activated SYNC infotainment system with support for Bluetooth, USB and Aux-in, power-folding ORVMs, automatic climate control, Ford’s intelligent MyKey, leather seat upholstery etc. Safety features include six airbags (on the Titanium+ trim), ABS with EBD, electronic stability programme, Hill Launch Assist, ‘Perimeter’ theft alarm system etc.
Ford India will also offer accessories to go along with your new purchase; these include ambient lighting, rear seat entertainment system, chrome kit, carpet floormats, and rear parking sensors. There’s also a rear-view mirror integrated reversing camera that doubles up as the display for the navigation system, illuminated scuff plates, among others. The Figo Aspire will also get Ford’s MyKey that allows owners to program the car key with restricted driving modes that encourage good habits, such as increasing seatbelt use, limiting vehicle top speeds and regulating audio volume.
Ford India currently has 341 sales and service outlets spread across 186 cities across the country. The new Ford Figo Aspire will be launched sometime in August 2015.
