BMW Motorrad slated to unveil three motorcycles at EICMA 2014

Already having unveiled three motorcycles at Intermot 2014 comprising of the new 2015 BMW S1000RR, the 2015 R1200 and the 2015 R1200RS, the German manufacturer is slated to add three new motorcycles on the world premiere list at EICMA 2014.

The most interesting of the three has to be the 2015 BMW S1000 (the suffix of F/XF/XR/Adventure is still a speculation) aimed to stack against the competition that reads the Ducati Multistrada, Aprilia Caponord, the Suzuki VStrom and the recently unveiled MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800. The new BMW S1000 will be sharing its motor from the BMW S1000RR albeit in a detuned state with power figures being quoted around 150 bhp towards more road rideability than outright track performance. Electronics arsenal such as ride-by-wire, suspension DDC (Dynamic Dumping Control System) traction control, ABS and different engine maps should make it to the bike considering its prime rival being the Ducati Multistrada. BMW R Nine T Scrambler

Second on the list would be the BMW R Nine T Scrambler. Mechanically similar to the Nine T, changes to the Scrambler looks nothing than a new paintjob and knobby tyres. BMW Motorrad would aim to take the popularity of the retro-styled Nine T a notch higher and try playing spoilsport to the new Ducati Scrambler.

The third motorcycle is the BMW K1600R- a production model of the BMW Concept 6 that was showcased way back in 2011. Featuring the Inline Six-Cylinder Engine from the GT series of BMW Motorcycles- the new 1600R should take battle to the likes of the Ducati Diavel.
