While we recently got the new BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe in India, some unarguably far luckier blokes got an opportunity to see the all new BMW M6 Gran Coupe at the ongoing Detroit Motor Show.

The performance variant of the Gran Coupe further extends the already lengthy BMW 6 series range that already consists of the 6 Series Coupe & Cabriolet, the M6 variants, Gran Coupe and now the M6 Gran Coupe.

The M6 Gran Coupe comes with some ‘sporty bits’ to inject more aggression in the already well sculpted and athletic body.

The front fascia of the M6 Gran Coupe sports aerodynamic splitters and front spoiler.

As we saw it coming, the M6 Gran Coupe gets a carbon fiber roof. The car rides on a set of tasty 20” mag wheels that further enhance the sportiness quotient.

Powering the M6 Gran Coupe is the 4.4 litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol motor that does duty on the 2 door M6 variants. This means that the new M6 Gran Coupe gets 560bhp of power and 680 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed M Double Clutch Transmission (M-DCT) and the power is transmitted to rear wheels.

The car has a claimed 0-100kmph timing of 4.5 seconds and an electronically limited top whack of 250 kmph.
