BMW M6 Gran Coupe Pics Surface on Cyber Space

While we attended the event for BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe launch in India, some arguably more lucky blokes attended the silent preview of the BMW M6 Gran Coupe in a different part of the world. We were always sure that a BMW M6 Gran Coupe is in the pipeline and the upcoming bimmer will complete the BMW 6 series range which presently consists of the 6 Series Coupe, Cabriolet, Gran Coupe and the M6 Coupe and convertible.

The hushed preview of the M6 Gran Coupe took place at Nurburgring, Germany yesterday. As expected, the M6 Gran Coupe gets some ‘sporty bits’ to infuse more aggression in that well sculpted body. The front end can be seen sporting aerodynamic splitters and front spoiler.

As is the norm with M versions of 6 series, the roof of M6 Gran Coupe is made of carbon fiber. The car wears very tasty 20” alloy wheels to further elevate the sportiness quotient. Back at the rear, the M6 Gran Coupe has quad exhaust outlets and a rear bumper diffuser.

The car shares the 4.4 litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol motor with the M6 Coupe and Convertible body types. This means that this four door coupe will offer 553bhp of power and 680 Nm of torque to play with. Coupled to the motor is a 7-speed M Double Clutch Transmission (M-DCT) that transmits all that power to the rear wheels. The car will have a 0-100kmph timing of 4.5 seconds and an electronically governed top whack of 250 kmph.

The BMW M6 Gran Coupe debuts at upcoming Detroit Motor Show.
