Hot on the heels of the pint-sized monster that the BMW i3 Evo from Japan was, comes this BMW i8 based iTRON modification. However, unlike the i3 Evo, this one’s still limited to the virtual realm. German Special Customs (GSC) digitally imagines its new and upcoming BMW i8 styling kit, which will bestow the i8 with some more visual punt.
The kit includes meaner bumpers with big intakes, winglets and integrated front DRLs, a revised bonnet running additional scoops, as well as aggressive side skirts. Things are sportingly rounded off with bigger 20 inch wheels wrapped in slightly fatter rubber, and the car sits noticeably lower in these renders. Eye-catching, dual-tone paint schemes are on the offing as well. The i8’s hybrid drive-train has been left alone.
The BMW i8 is a plug-in hybrid with an all-wheel drive powertrain which combines an electric motor to drive the front wheels and a 1.5-litre BMW TwinPower Turbo three-cylinder gasoline engine driving the rear wheels, producing a combined power of 357hp (362PS). The carbon-fiber rich i8 can reach from 0-100kph in 4.2 seconds and to a top speed of 250kph, and is expected in India sometime soon.
