BMW G 310 R (K03) instrument cluster

The rectangular multi-functional instrument cluster on the G 310 R includes a LCD display at the centre which is surrounded with tell-tale indicators on both the sides. The liquid crystal digital display is claimed to offer excellent clarity along with a wide range of information such as the odometer, fuel gauge, trip meter, top speed, average speed, tachometer, clock, gear position and engine temperature. Left side of the digital display houses the low fuel warning, neutral light, turn indicators and high-beam indicator. To the right side of the digital display is a general warning indicator, low battery level indicator, ABS light, an engine warning indicator and a gear up-shift indicator.

The overall display looks compact in images and, to a certain extent reminds us of the unit that is seen on the Suzuki Gixxer 155/SF. Compare that against the unit on the KTM motorcycles in India and you have equal amount of information, if not more, in an even more compact unit than any other product in the segment. The switchgear is not something out of the box either, as one would expect from a BMW Motorrad product. The list of controls include electric ignition, engine kill switch and pass light to name a few. The steel-braided brake lines, apart from adding to the list of premium features of the G 310 R, should also improve the braking feedback.
