Bike Festival of India kicks off 8,100 kms long National Safety Ride

Bike Festival of India’s ‘National Safety Ride’ was kicked off in Delhi. The event was flagged off by Indian Cricketer Ishant Sharma in New Delhi. The National Safety Ride is an initiative weaved under the ambit of the ‘Bike Festival of India’ whose inaugural edition will be held at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida on 4th & 5th October this year.

Indian Cricket Team Captain and avid biker Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the brand ambassador for ‘Bike festival of India’ which aims to provide a unique platform for biking community to come together and be a part of this first-of-its-kind biking adventure in the country that accentuates on the importance of safe biking.

The BFI National Safety Ride will witness six male and three female bike enthusiasts on Triumph Motorcycles – the official bike partner of National Safety Ride – in a nationwide ride in an attempt to spread awareness on safe biking. During this awareness ride, the riders will be covering a total of 8,100 kms over a span of 30 days with a halt in cities like Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Cochin, Kolkata and Chandigarh for meet and greet sessions with bikers from other communities.

Speaking about the National Safety Ride, Arun Pandey, CMD, Rhiti Sports said, “31st August is a very important day for us as it is our National flag day and the BFI National Safety Ride is a tribute to our flag. Through BFI National Safety Ride we aim at strengthening the biking culture in India, and most importantly safe biking and use of helmets as it can save your life. The youth of our country form an integral part of the biking community and play a crucial role in spreading the awareness on abiding the safety norms”.

Adding his thoughts on the National Safety Ride, Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles India commented, “Triumph Motorcycles is proud to associate with BFI as the official safety ride sponsor.
