It seems like popular Indian bike maker, Bajaj Auto Ltd., is currently sailing through some troubled waters. After having faced a strike at its Chakan plant, BAL is now in the process of recalling two of its newest performance motorcycles.

Only recently we reported that BAL has silently notified some of KTM 390 Duke owners to head to nearest authorized service centres for a parts replacement exercise. This exercise, which consists of replacement of certain fan and rotor parts, is being done to do away with the over-heating issue that has marred one of the most exciting entry level performance bikes in the country. Now, the good folks at Motorbeam have reported that the bike maker has also recalled some of the Ninja 300 performance bikes it has sold in the country. Akin to the KTM 390 Duke recall, BAL has refrained from publicizing the recall drive for the N300.

Some of the N300 owners in Mumbai have been notified by dealerships for an ECU replacement exercise that needs to be carried on their bikes. In Navi Mumbai alone, as many as 11 N300s have been recalled. As per the dealership, the ECU replacement exercise can be conducted in just 5 minutes. It is being said that ECUs of the affected bikes are prone to malfunction due to an improper setting. This could cause the bike to stall while de-accelerating.

Launched here earlier this year, the new Ninja 300 replaced the last gen Ninja 250 in our market. The Ninja 300 is responsible for bringing world class performance biking to our shores and has been quick in making to the top of wish-list of many biking aficionados across the country.
