The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 375 is easily the most awaited Indian performance bike today, especially for those who plan to upgrade from their 200-225cc machines but don’t intend to dish out close to INR 2 lakhs for the recently launched KTM 390 Duke.

Sources have informed us that the upcoming Pulsar flagship is currently in penultimate stages of development and that we should expect the bike to be out within few months from now.  Rajiv Bajaj, MD of Bajaj Auto Ltd, recently announced that his company plans to launch the Pulsar 375 during this year’s festive season.  Mr. Bajaj has also revealed that the upcoming bike will be marketed as India”s first “Super Sports” bike. While we really know better than to associate the P375 with the litre class faired machines, we are sure that the Pulsar 375 would soon become the sportiest looking product by Bajaj ever.

As isn’t surprising, the Pulsar 375 will be based on the recently launched KTM 390 Duke, which means that the bike will have good dynamics and strong engine performance.  We feel that the upcoming Bajaj flagship could very well redefine the affordable performance bike scene in India.

As can be observed in the various spy pics that we have on the next page, the Pulsar 375 will become the first fully faired Bajaj bike! The spy pics have also revealed that the bike would feature a twin projector headlights setup, standard telescopic front forks (the new KTM 390 Duke comes equipped with USDs) and ABS.

As is obvious, the Pulsar 375 will be powered by a revised version of the 390 Duke’s 375cc, single cylinder motor. There are good chances that the P375’s engine would come with fuel injection, a 4 valve head and the trademark DTSi tech.

With a ‘never-seen-before’ styling and a really potent engine, the Indian bike buying lot is looking all set for a treat this Diwali. We really can’t wait to spend an entire day riding the Pulsar 375.
