Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) recently revealed its official exhibit plans for the fast approaching Auto Expo 2014, which will be held at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida early next month. Along with the models that are currently on sale in India, the bike maker would also showcase the highly anticipated Pulsar 200SS, a new Discover and a Cruiser motorcycle concept.

Bajaj Pulsar 200SS
For those who came in late, the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 200SS is basically a faired-sibling of the 200NS, the current flagship in BAL’s product portfolio. The Bajaj Pulsar 200SS is expected to boast of many new body panels and a slightly longer features list. It would come fitted with ABS as standard and powering the bike could be a fuel injected version of the 200cc, single cylinder motor that powers the 200NS. For the 200SS though, this engine is likely to pump out a higher max power output of 25PS, along with a marginally higher peak torque. It is expected that the Bajaj Pulsar 200SS launch would happen sometime in second half of this year and the bike is looking slated to become the next flagship model in the Pulsar brand of motorcycles. It is also being expected that the Bajaj Pulsar 200SS price would be around INR 1.22 lakhs.
New Bajaj Discover
Also making an Expo debut will be ‘yet another new variant’ of the Bajaj Discover executive commuter bike. It may be noted that currently, Bajaj sells a wide range of motorcycles under the Discover moniker and only recently, Bajaj came up with a competitively priced, feature laden, power-packed Discover 100M, which can be seen giving a tough time to rivals such as the Mahindra Centuro, the TVS Star City and the likes. Not much is known abotu the upcoming Discover variant but there are chances that this bike would find itself slotted between the Discover 125T and the Discover 100T.
New Bajaj Cruiser Concept
Also coming our way at the Expo is an all new Bajaj Cruiser Concept motorcyle. Bajaj might be readying a new cruiser bike to tackle the upcoming Hyosung GV250 Aquila and it remains to be seen if the upcoming Bajaj cruiser would go on sale under the Avenger moniker. Gut-feeling is that this bike could be the next generation Avenger, complete with a styling that has nothing to do with the erstwhile Kawasaki Eliminator.
