Audi TT sportscar to be officially launched on 23rd March

The whole world got crazy when it first had a look at the first generation of Audi TT. Those lines oozed of character. The next and current generation of Audi TT was not seen to be as groundbreaking when it was first unveiled but it looked very much like a serious sportscar should. Now, the news is that Audi India will launch the facelifted TT sportscar on the 23rd of this month. The CBU model is expected to come with a price tag of about 60 lakh rupees and will battle it out against the likes of Porsche Boxster, Mercedes Benz SLK and Nissan 370Z. This model is being bought more for further establishing a premium brand image in the country and the German auto maker plans to sell about 50 units of the TT every year.It is being said that Audi might introduce the 3-liter supercharged motor from A6 and A7 with this car. This engine produces some 300bhp and the motor is mated to a 7-speed twin-clutch gearbox. The TT should also come with an updated version of Audi’s MMI infotainment system. We so wish that Audi decided to avoid bringing this car with the 1.8 litre motor that has some connections with the ‘lesser’ Skoda cars.
