The wait is finally over! Audi India, the Indian subsidiary of the popular German car maker, has finally launched the Audi S6 4.0 TFSI Quattro in the fast developing Indian car market. The Audi S6 4.0 TFSI Quattro comes to us via CBU route and is priced at INR 85.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
The new Audi S6 joins the Audi S4, the performance variant of the A4 sedan, in Audi India’s product portfolio. The S4 won a lot of appreciation from us back when we spent a day testing it on varied terrain and we expect the Audi S6 to be at least as fun.

The new Audi S6 4.0 TFSI Quattro, as the name suggests, is powered by a 4.0 litre V8 TFSI petrol engine that has a max power of 420bhp and a peak torque of 550Nm. The new Audi S6 is capable of dismissing 100kmph from standstill in brisk 4.8 seconds. The V8 comes mated to a 7-speed S Tronic DSG transmission that transfers the power to all four wheels through the Quatto all-wheel drive system. The engine features a “Cylinder On Demand” technology that deactivates as many as four of the total eight cylinders under low load conditions. This enables the motor to have an optimum mix of performance and fuel economy.
The car comes “factory fitted” with Audi Drive Select system that allows you to control the throttle response, shift points and suspension settings. The list of optional extras that the car comes with includes a sport differential, 20 inch wheels and carbon ceramic disc brakes.
