Audi has teased its upcoming compact luxury SUV, the Q2 yet again. The German automobile manufacturer has now released a teaser video as well as some teaser images of their compact luxury SUV, which is scheduled to make its debut at the upcoming 2016 Geneva Motor Show. The Q2 has been teased earlier as well on two occasions and this seems to be the final teaser before the car is officially unveiled.

To start with, the Q2 will replace the Q3 as the company’s most affordable SUV apart from becoming the fourth addition to Audi’s Q range of SUVs. The company has gone ahead to release two teaser images of the Q2.
The first teaser image reveals the Audi Q2 sitting in the background in a shade of red while the camera focuses on the person at the front. The second teaser image partly reveals the front fascia of the compact luxury SUV – a hexagonal shaped grille with a completely new design sans any chrome. Also seen is the sweptback LED DRL that accompanies the projector headlamps. The video reveals the holograms for the headlight and tail light of the Q2. The video also shows a street artist who depicts the design of the Q2 on a wall with the help o f a light.
The Q2 will be based on Volkswagen’s MQB platform which also underpins Audi’s A3 luxury sedan. Powering this compact luxury SUV will be a series of four cylinder, turbocharged diesel and petrol engines, the capacity of which will range from 1.4 litres to 2.0 litres. Transmission duties will be taken care of by a 6 or 7 speed S-Tronic gearbox. Audi’s trademark four wheel drive system, the Quattro, will come as an option.
Once launched in India, the Q2 will take on the Mini Cooper Countryman and command an approximate price of Rs. 25 lakhs. Although there is no official news from the company’s Indian arm, we expect the Audi Q2 to hit the Indian shores by the end of the year.
