Audi India sells 850 units in October 2012, witnesses 76% growth


Audi India registered a total sale of 850 units in October 2012, also achieving a strong growth of 76 percent in the process. In terms of Year to date growth, the brand recorded a 55 percent growth rate with 7267 vehicles sold from January to October 2012, as compared to 4692 units for Jan-October 2011. Going at that rate, and the festive season in view, the company should be able to achieve its sales target of 8000 units for the year 2012 much before December end.

“Keeping our performance in mind, we are confident of surpassing the 2012 sales target of 8000 units even before the year comes to an end. Our product offering, brand positioning and after sales services are finding resonance with discerning luxury customers in India. It is their aspiration for real luxury mobility that is fueling our growth” said Mr. Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India.

The company opened new showrooms in Kanpur, Goa, Navi Mumbai, Coimbatore, Delhi West, Nagpur and Bhopal. Last year, the luxury carmaker opened new showrooms in Delhi South, Chennai, Ludhiana, Surat and Indore. Further developments include Lucknow and Raipur among others.
