Aston Martin has announced plans to sell the exclusive Lagonda Taraf in select European markets and South Africa.
Described as being “the finest of the fast cars”, the Aston Martin Lagonda Taraf was launched in the Middle East towards the end of last year. Now, the company has announced plans to expand availability in Continental Europe, United Kingdom and South Africa so it has been engineered in both left- and right-hand drive.
Aston Martin Design Director Marek Reichman had earlier said: “The new model, like its exclusive siblings the One-77 and V12 Zagato, has been created as a piece of exceptional automotive art. “It has been designed and developed entirely in keeping with the spirit and ethos of previous Lagonda super sedans – notably the William Towns Lagonda – and as a tribute to this car it proudly bears the Lagonda nameplate.”
Total production will remain capped at 200 units. Powering the Lagonda Taraf is a 6.0-liter V12 engine outputting 550 bhp which allows it to reach a top whack of 175 mph (281 kmph). The super sedan is hand-built through Aston Martin’s Q personalization division and all vehicles benefit from a carbon fiber body and a very luxurious cabin.
