Reports suggest that British marquee Aston Martin is all set to launch the DB11 in India. It is believed that one unit of the model has already made it to Indian shores ahead of its launch that is said to take place as early as next month (October 2016). The model was first unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.

The DB11 was introduced about 12 years after its predecessor, the DB9 made its debut. For those of you who might ask about the DB10, let us tell you that the bespoke model was made exclusively for the James Bond flick, ‘Spectre’. As for the DB11, it is the first Aston Martin model to use the brand’s all-new, riveted and adhesive-bonded aluminium platform.
Up-front, the DB11 features the brand’s signature catfish grille and projector headlamps with LED DRL strips. At the rear is the trademark boomerang shaped LED tail lamps and chrome tipped twin exhausts. Moving on to the interiors, the DB11 comes equipped with a 12 inch TFT LCD instrument cluster while the infotainment system is an 8 inch centrally mounted unit. Also on offer are three drive modes to choose from – GT, Sport and Sport Plus.

Propelling the DB11 is a brand new 5.2 litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine that replaces the 6.0-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine from the DB9. The new engine is capable of producing a power output of 608 PS at 6500 rpm while the peak torque of 700 Nm comes up from 1500 rpm. This engine is paired to an eight speed ZF automatic gearbox, while the powertrain enables the DB11 to sprint from naught to 100 kmph in 3.9 seconds while the top speed is limited to 322 kmph.
