Amitabh Bachhan just got himself a Range Rover LWB Autobiography edition. Customized as per the celebrity actor’s tastes, the posh SUV exchanged hands at an undisclosed price. We might add that prices for the LWB Autobiography edition start at INR 2.68 Crores before one starts optioning and customizing things up. Big B’s new Range Rover will now share garage space with a Porsche Cayman S, a Rolls-Royce Phantom, a Bentley Continental GT, a Mercedes-Benz GL-Class amongst others.
Over a standard Range Rover Vogue, the Autobiography edition adds a choice a front grille trims, adaptive headlamps, a panoramic roof including a power blind, 22-way driver and passenger front and rear climate seats, front seat massager, driver and passenger memory seats, gesture controlled tail gate, along with a 825 Watt Meridian surround sound audio system. The LWB version further adds extra stowage space inside and the option of Executive Class Seating which allows the two passengers at the back to recline up to 17 degrees.
The Range Rover LWB Autobiography edition is available with two engine options – a 4.4 litre diesel engine good for 335 bhp/740 Nm, and a 5.0 litre, V8, supercharged petrol engine rated at 503 bhp/625 Nm. Both are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Amitabh’s Autobiography is powered by the former, which means that the stately home on wheels can scant from 0 to 100 kph in just 6.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 218 kph.
