Remember Ramesh Babu? Originally a barber by profession, today, he owns more than 200 cars under his car rental business including the likes of Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW and Jaguar. After coming into the limelight about 2 years ago when he inducted a Rolls Royce Ghost into his luxury car rental fleet, the Bengaluru based businessman has made it to the headlines yet again.
This time, Ramesh Babu has become the proud owner of a Mercedes-Maybach S600, the price of which begins at INR 2.67 crore (ex-showroom, Pune). Reports suggest that Ramesh is the third person in the city after Vijay Mallya and an unknown builder to own this luxurious vehicle.

Even after having a successful car rental business, Ramesh Babu regularly goes to his salon and can often be spotted driving down in his prized possession, the Rolls Royce Ghost. This is likely to change with the arrival of the Maybach, wouldn’t it?
Coming to luxury vehicle, the Mercedes-Maybach S600 is powered by a 5980cc V12 biturbo engine that produces 530 hp and 830 Nm of torque. A few highlights of the model include the ‘Magic Body Control’ suspension, head-up display, front seat massagers for driver and co-driver, and an anti-theft protection package. The model is equipped with safety features such as 12 air-bags, night vision assist plus, a 360 degree camera, active parking assist, LED headlamps, crosswind assist, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
