2017 Royal Enfield Himalayan Official Tech Specs Updated, Fuel Injection Added To The List

You must’ve already read our report on the Royal Enfield Himalayan Fuel Injected model which is expected to hit the Indian showrooms soon. In latest updates, Royal Enfield has updated the technical specifications for the Himalayan on its official website, with the addition of Electronic fuel injection instead of “Carburettor with throttle position sensor” in the Fuel System column. The addition of fuel injection system is to comply with the new Bharat Stage IV or BSIV emission norms.

The fuel injected model is already on sale in the US and the UK market. There are no changes to the performance and the 411cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine continues to deliver 24.5 bhp of power @ 6500 rpm and 32Nm of torque at 4250 rpm. Sadly though, there is no mention of ABS till now.

The fuel injected model is expected to arrive by May 2017 and will most likely carry a premium of around INR 10,000 over the carburettor model which retails at INR 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). We’d keep you posted about all the latest updates as and when they arrive. Check out the updated technical specifications below and share your views with us through the comments section.
