After a few sketchy teasers previewing the exteriors, Hyundai has now released a new, single render depicting the interiors of their upcoming, India bound premium sedan. The insides get an all-black treatment, although biege loving markets like ours could get a dual tone layout. The new dashboard can be defined by flowing lines and possesses understated elegance, just like the exteriors. The center console is slightly angled towards the driver, and features a touchscreen equipped infotainment system. The steering wheel seems to be borrowed from the Creta, although we’d reserve our judgement till more revealing images surface. The handbrake lever gets a couple of glass holders for company.
Exterior highlights include a new trapezoidal grille, svelte headlamps with L-shaped LED signature, a swooping roofline that culminates into a coupe-like rear section, tauter and sharper creases, carefully contoured wheel arch flares that integrate seamlessly with the bodywork, horizontal tail lamps with Elite i20 like graphics, and a subtle boot lip spoiler.
No further official details are available right now, but it is expected to be powered by a 1.6-liter T-GDi engine making 175 hp, mated to Hyundai’s new seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. A global unveiling will happen either at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September or at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. Details about its Indian entry will come thereafter.
