The 2014 Jaguar XJ launched in Mumbai

Jaguar has announced the launch of the 2014 Jaguar XJ in Mumbai today, after its introduction to the Indian market last month. The XJ 3.0L Diesel will be available in two derivatives, the Premium Luxury and Portfolio and is locally manufactured at its Pune facility.

New features in the Jaguar XJ include the upgraded rear seat comfort pack with three massage seat functions, increased rear headroom, electric rear side window blinds, LED reading lights, 25.9 cm (10.2) rear infotainment screens and a new rear business table. Prices for the Jaguar XJ 3.0 Diesel Premium luxury are INR 92.10 lacs and the Jaguar XJ 3.0 Diesel Portfolio starts from INR 98.69 lacs (ex-showroom Mumbai).

The Premium Luxury trim includes 18-inch alloy wheels, soft grain leather seats with electric driver’s and passenger’s adjustment and drivers 3 position memory.  A Jaguar Smart Key System™ with keyless entry, Meridian Audio System (380W) with 14 speakers, rear parking aid with touch-screen visual indicator are offered as standard with this version.

The Portfolio variant gets 19-inch Toba alloy wheels, soft grain leather seats with ventilated, heated and cooled front and rear seats, A Meridian™ 825W Surround Sound System with 20 speakers and single slot CD, Bi-function HID Xenon headlamps with Adaptive Front Lighting, cornering lamps and intelligent high beam. It also comes equipped with four zone automatic climate control.

The diesel powered 3.0-litre V6 engine generates 271bhp of power and 600Nm of torque while the 2.0-litre mill produces 240bhp of power and 340Nm of torque. Both the engine variants are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
