The still exist almost three weeks between us and the eagerly awaited 2013 Geneva Motor Show, but that doesn’t prevent us from already having a comprehensive list of cars that will be put on display at one of the most popular auto shows on Earth.

One of the car models that are headed to Geneva is the very interesting Alpina B3 Bi-Turbo, based on the BMW 3 Series (F30) 335i sedan.

Just in case you wish to know more about Alpina, the Alpina Burkard Bovensiepen GmbH is an automobile manufacturing company based in Buchloe, Bavaria. The car manufacturer sells cars based on BMW models. Alpina Burkard Bovensiepen GmbH  operates in close relation with BMW and its production is integrated into BMW’s production facility. This is makes Alpina quite unlike most other performance specialists and hence, makes them an automaker instead of an aftermarket tuner.

From whatever little information is known, the new Alpina B3 will deliver a lot more torque and power than its previous generation and on the same time, will be 20 percent more fuel efficient.

Powering the car will be a 3.0-liter turbocharged engine that will have a max power output of 410 horsepower @ 5,500 rpm. To put things in perspective, the BMW 335i has a peak power output of 300 horsepower. The engine will be mated to an 8 speed ZF automatic transmission and the car will have a 0-96kmph timing of merely 4 seconds.

Stay tuned for more details to emerge on the unveiling of the new Alpina B3 at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
