10,000 Lamborghini Gallardos on road…

…if ofcourse, you consider all those burnt and crashed and broken Gallardos to be alive and on road! But the crux of the matter is, Lamborghini has rolled out its ten thousandth Gallardo off the production line at its factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese. The Gallaro with all its siblings (the Superlaggera, Spyder, LP560-4, LP570-4 Superlaggera, Valentino Balboni Edition, SE, Nera, and the original Coupe launched in 2003) is undoubtedly the most successful supercar from the Italain carmaker ( with due credit to the ‘German’ Audi ofcourse).

“Production of car number 10,000 is a very important milestone for Lamborghini,” said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. “The Lamborghini brand is extreme, uncompromising and Italian, and the Lamborghini Gallardo has played an exemplary role in defining and delivering our brand reputation into our worldwide markets. Today Lamborghini is represented in 45 countries by over 120 dealers, with the strength and presence of the Gallardo product playing a significant role in the growth and recognition of our brand.”

The Gallaro is available in India at a heart-beat-skipping price tag upwards of Rs. 2-crore. The car is sold by Lamborghini through the ‘Exclusive Motors’ showroom in Delhi – the same outfit which has been chosen by Volkswagen for the sales of the Bugatti Veyron in India. Anyway, while you watch the videos of the Gallardo, stab your father in the heart and sell off all his property to buy yourself a supercar, we are going to celebrate Lamborghini’s milestone achievement through Forza 3 for the Xbox 360. If you wish to join me for a race, find me on Xbox Live, Gamertag: RashRP.
