That 3-pointed star commands respect not only on the road, but also in a garage.

Original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) don’t really like it when their beloved customers opt to buy spare parts that aren’t approved by them; In other words, fake parts. Companies like Mercedes-Benz, spend millions upon millions designing each and every part that goes into their vehicles. Then, there comes along a customer, who decides to spare a few change and goes into a shop which sells non-genuine/fake parts. Of course, this applies to every OEM out there. Mercedes-Benz is touted as being one of the finest carmakers out there. Heck!, they make the S-Class, widely regarded as the best car in the world!

The epitome of German luxury – The S-Class.

The industry of fake parts has become rampant and disgusting, that it symbolises the ‘proverbial spit’ for top-notch OEMs like Mercedes-Benz. We see why anyone would choose the cheaper and more accessible fake option, over their more expensive and time-consuming original counterparts. But, if you can afford to buy a car from a marque such as Mercedes-Benz, chances are that you don’t live in a slum and hence, could afford genuine parts.

To make sure that it’s customers never ever go for fake parts and choose genuine ones, the German carmaker has gone to the level of scaring the daylights out of it’s customers, by portraying a zombie in this advertisement. Forget the plot, the message that Mercedes-Benz is trying to give out here is simple. Stick with original parts and avoid fakes, or else you will be attacked by a zombie! Naah, not really, but you get our point. Anyway, watch the video and let us know what you think of it and the industry of fake/non-genuine auto parts.
