There’s something about speed and going faster that makes men do things, they themselves would be amazed to see from the eyes of a spectator. Narrated by Liam Nesson, ‘Road’ is the story of such men who belong to the Dunlop family, obsessed with Motorcycle Racing on everyday roads.
It started with Joey and Robert Dunlop , while elder brother Joey was voted as the fifth greatest motorcycling icon ever by Motorcycle News, Robert throughout his career at the TT, finished 14 times on the podium. unfortunately both, Joey and Robert succumbed to racing accidents. Their legacy however is being carried forward by Michael and William Dunlop, Robert’s sons.
For two generations men from the Dunlop family have dominated the international road racing scene, this documentary takes you on a blistering emotional ride with it’s heroes Joey, Robert, William and Michael, a family united by success and tragedy, experience their victories, crashes and bumps, on and off the road.
Unfortunately the documentary will be a one night screening affair, across select venues in the U.K. and Ireland, we can hope for a DVD or Blu ray to come through some day, until then, enjoy the trailer.
