Fifty Harley-Davidson bikers ride to Bhutan for the 2nd International H.O.G. Ride

The small and picturesque neighboring country of Bhutan played host as 50 members of the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) thundered down the winding roads of the ‘Land of the Thunder Dragon’ for a seven-day ride organized by the group’s Bengal chapter. Riders from 14 Harley-Davidson chapters across India took part in the ride that started on the 19th of May  and ended  on the 25th of May, 2015.

Starting their ride from from Siliguri, the  HOG riders rode together through the cities and towns  of Phuntsholing, Thimpu, Punakha, Bumthang and Haa-Paro before ending their trip at Bhutan’s capital city of Thimpu. All in all, they covered a distance of more than 6,000 kilometers on some of the most beautiful country roads this side of the subcontinent.

Commenting on the journey, Manoj Joshi, Director of HOG’s Bengal chapter said, “The beautiful country of Bhutan is on the bucket list for almost every motorcycle enthusiast. Riding with the brotherhood is always fun and the 2nd International H.O.G. ride gave all of us a brilliant opportunity to step outside our comfort zones and take our passion for riding to a whole new level.”

H.O.G. chapters in India routinely organize rides for Harley owners. It provides an opportunity for riders to come together and celebrate their love for motorcycling and take back with them new friendships, amazing journeys and great stories.
