A blacked out Tata Prima tractor trailer riding on gigantic chrome rims rolling into the sunset on the Rann of Kutch salt flats is not something you see everyday. Badshah’s video of his new single – DJ Wale Babu featuring Aastha Gill epitomises bad-ass trucking with this ostentatious creation. The slick video has been directed by Director Gifty and also stars a searing hot Natasa Stankovic.
The truck, which probably started life as a Tata Prima LX 4928.S tractor trailer has been appropriately, yet subtly refurbished to fit into a perennial party monger’s scheme of things. The upper half of the cabin is swathed in matte black paint, while the lower half, including the front bumper, side steps and fenders have been dipped in chrome. The headlamps have been completely blacked out, letting just the fog lamps illuminate the road ahead.
But the major attraction are the wheels – finished in chrome, the massive, multi-spoke wheels should measure anything between 22 to 25 inches in diameter. The extended hubs are supported by eight individual spokes, and carry a B emblem finished in gold, referring to Badshah. Wrapped around ultra low profile tires, the wheels are the heroes of this music video.
The matte black container is supposedly a portable club from the inside, trimmed in red leather and hosting luscious women gyrating to Badshah’s tunes, apart from some expensive champagne. The party truck’s mechanical bits, in all probability, haven’t been altered from stock which means that Badshah’s truck is powered by 6700 cc Cummins diesel engine, good for 267 HP and 970 Nm of torque, mated to a 9-speed gearbox.
